Great interview and story. If an epidemiologist wears a mask inside public places, won't generally eat in a restaurant unless it's nearly empty, and brings a portable CO2 detector with her, what does that tell me? That I'm not alone in being so careful in public, especially when most of those around me have seemingly thrown caution to the wind. I have several co-morbidities plus a husband recovering from neurosurgery. Some friends seem puzzled that I don't want to attend events/gatherings; yes my life is quieter than it used to be but I'm resigned to that now. I will continue to be vaccinated as long as it's available in Canada; haven't had covid though hubby did last year and ended up in the ED.
