Immunity Debt vs. Immunity Theft
One's more convenient, while the other is more likely, but the fact is we don't know what's going on
Did the masks that we were told didn’t work well enough to manage COVID work well enough to lead kids to not gather sufficient immunity to other viruses and somehow hence the surge we’re seeing now? Certainly that’d be the case I’d be hoping for if I had been responsible for decisions on lifting school mask mandates or cheerleading for same.
Alternatively, did the mass infection of students stripped of all protections in turn impact their immunity and hence the surge we’re seeing now?

One thing is very certain, figuring out what has brought pediatric healthcare to its knees can’t happen soon enough.
